98 hotels in Red Sea shut down

In another heavy blow to the already suffering tourism sector in Egypt, about 98 hotels and resorts stopped work in the Red Sea governorate as many countries issued travel warnings against Egypt to their citizens. There are no tourists and consequently the hotels are vacant. The hotels sent official notifications to the authorities that they suspended work to save water and electricity, said Hatem Nabil, the head of the Red Sea chamber of hotel facilities
