The Abu Dhabi Police GHQ has recently launched the "My Tourism is My Identity" initiative to enhance the concept of tourism among community members in a way that reflects the civilised aspects of the United Arab Emirates.
The initiative aims to acquaint tourists with the touristic attractions and places within the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, and includes various events to enable volunteers who wish to contribute to spreading the concept within the community.
Lieutenant Colonel Muzeed Al Otaibi, Chief of Tourism Police Section at Abu Dhabi Police said, "In collaboration with the Ministry of Culture, Youth, and Community Development, and within the activities of the initiative, the section has organised a campaign to clean the beaches of the Abu Dhabi Corniche at the Heritage Village. The campaign was carried out with the participation of Environment Friends Society, EFS, and other volunteers in order to preserve the general cleanliness and environmental safety of touristic places that attract tourists from all over the world." He also pointed out the efforts of the Tourism Police Officers in maintaining security and stability and responding quickly to tourists when needed; providing them with services around-the-clock.
