Manama - BNA

His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa has asserted that violence has no place in democratic societies. HRH Premier affirmed that terrorism has never been grown in Bahrain and that terrorists are serving the agendas of those targeting the homeland and plotting against it, affirming the kingdom's "right to combat terrorism and confront perpetrators and their instigators." HRH Prime Minister underlined that the Kingdom will remain an oasis of co-existence and openness, adding that that the government is doing its utmost to reinforce stability, strengthen economy and cement national unity and cohesion so as to ensure that the democratic life the kingdom is enjoying promotes its national goals and not used as pretext to cover terrorism. This came as HRH Premier received at his court today the British Ambassador to Bahrain Iain Lindsay. During the audience, HRH Prime Minister praised the deep-rooted friendly Bahraini-UK ties, affirming the government's support for bolstering joint cooperation further in order to revitalize joint business, attract more investors and increase the volume of trade exchange in light of the various opportunities and fields available. On his part, Ambassador Lindsay expressed sincere thanks and appreciation to HRH Premier for the government's constant support for him and keenness to boost cooperation fields. He also said that Bahrain has been among the most attractive for British companies across the GCC region, and will continue to be so.
