A British committee of the Air Transport Authority (BATA) hailed on Wednesday security measures applied at Cairo airport to secure passengers, containers and flights.
This came during the inspection tour made by the five-member BATA committee of the British flight no.154 heading for London.
A number of Egyptian aviation and security officials, notably chairman of the Egyptian Holding Company for Airports & Air Navigation (EHCAAN) Ismail Abou El Ezz and Head of the Egyptian Aviation Services (EAS) Mohamed Kamal were present during the BATA's inspection tour.
Also, the British committee members have checked the measures to secure packages and luggage containers during their transfer from the departure hall to the plane.
Furthermore, it examined the measures to watch containers containing the passengers' meals, in addition to the inspections conducted for passengers before they get on the plane.
