British Ambassador to Egypt John Casson
Cairo - MENA

British Ambassador to Egypt John Casson expected thousands of British tourists to visit Egypt during the Christmas season.
The ambassador, who fluently speaks Arabic, said on his Twitter that the embassy resumed its services for public on Tuesday.
The British Embassy had said in a statement that it resumed on Tuesday public services after security issues related to the building were resolved in cooperation with the Egyptian government.
The statement quoted Foreign Secretary Philip Hammond as saying: "I am pleased that the British Embassy in Cairo has today resumed public services in full. I am very grateful for the close co-operation from the Egyptian Government which has made this re-opening possible."
