Airport Ramp Safety Training
Manama - BNA

The Ministry of Transportation (MoT) Civil Aviation Affairs is conducting specialized training on ramp safety and related operations for Bahrain International Airport (BIA) personnel in cooperation with the Singapore Aviation Academy.
The course, which is scheduled to be conducted in the first week of December, comes as part of the Ministry’s ongoing efforts to continuously upgrade the Ramp and related ground operations. This is with the Ministry’s objective of ensuring that safety standards at BIA conform to international standards, in compliance with International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), International Air Transport Association (IATA) and Airport Council International (ACI)’s standards and recommendations.
Around 14 participants representing different Government institutions and operating companies at BIA are expected to take part in the course.
MoT Civil Aviation Affairs Assistant Undersecretary for Safety and Security Aviation, Hussain Ahmed Al-Shuail met the delegates before their departure and emphasized the importance CAA places on such courses, due to their impact on increasing safety awareness, providing Bahraini staff with up-to-date skills and knowledge.
Al Shuail stressed MoT’s commitment to ensuring that such training continues to be provided, to ensure that BIA maintains its position as an efficient and safe airport
