A delegation from the Fujairah Tourism and Antiquities Authority is participating in the International Travel Trade Show Berlin, being held from March 9th - 13th, as part of the authority's strategy to promote the emirate as a tourist destination in international tourism fairs.
The delegation comprises a number of representatives from the tourism sector, including hotels and travel agencies in the Emirate of Fujairah.
During the event, which attracts visitors from more than 180 countries and over 10,000 exhibitors, the delegation have so far met with a number of officials from the German tourism sectors to introduce them to what Fujairah has to offer tourists in an effort to increase the number of German tourists to the emirate. According to statistics, German tourists to Fujairah grew by 60% in 2015 compared with 2014.
The delegation also met with Juma Mubarak Al Junaibi, UAE Ambassador to the Federal Republic of Germany, where he was briefed on Fujairah's latest tourism statistics, reports, and offerings.
