Civil Aviation Minister Wael Maadawi on Saturday said hot-air balloon flights will be resumed starting from April after setting more security procedures. In a press release, Maadawi asserted that flights of the company owning the doomed hot-air balloon will not be resumed until ongoing investigations are finalized. Meantime, Maadawi denied news reports that a businessman has rented two airplanes belonging to EgyptAir Company. He added that the ministry will see a number of changes in the leaderships of some companies affiliated to the ministry in the coming weeks. In February, a balloon caught fire and plummeted 1,000 feet into a sugar cane field west of Luxor, killing 19 tourists.
