Indonesian foreign ministry has advised the country's citizens in Thailand or wishing to travel to the country to be extra vigilant in the wake of a blast in downtown Bangkok killing at least 20 people, a minister said here on Wednesday.

"We have issued a travel advice. It is a call for Indonesian citizens in Thailand or planning to go there to be cautious," Indonesian Foreign Minister Retno Marsudi said.

The minister confirmed two Indonesian citizens are among the victims of the explosion that rocked Bangkok on Monday.

"One Indonesian citizen was killed and another had serious injury," Retno said.

The blasts also injured 120 people, most of them are foreign holidaymakers.

Indonesia has not yet issued a travel warning following the blast, said Retno.

The minister said that Indonesian embassy in Bangkok was looking for other Indonesians victims in the explosion.

Indonesia had experienced a series of major explosion since 2000, including Bali blasts, suicide explosion in Luxurious Hotel in Jakarta, and suicide bombing in Australian embassy, killing dozens of people and causing serious damages.
