Minister of Labour and Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, Nidal Qatamin, left for London to take part in the annual World Travel Market (WTM) exhibition which attracts wide global participation.
The Jordanian pavilion at the WTM will be a venue for meetings during which the minister will sign with his counterparts from a number of world countries agreements to expand tourism ties that will help to attract tourists to the Kingdom. Brochures and pamphlets will be distributed in various languages to market Jordan as an international tourist destination.
Qataimn said Jordan's participation was essential especially as the London event is attracting delegations from 160 countries.
WTM is a UK event for the global travel industry, launched at London's Olympia in 1980 before moving to Earl’s Court in 1992 and then to Excel London in 2002. Some 46,000 senior travel industry professionals, government ministers and representatives of the international media converge on Excel London each year in November to attend World Travel Market.
