A set of measures has been taken to promote tourism in Luxor, said Antiquities Minister Khaled el-Anani, who visited the city to participated in celebrations of its national day.
Among these measures is "Luxor Pass", a ticket for multiple visits for a duration of five days for $100. It also allow tourists to tour all archaeological sites in the city, said the minister.
Speaking during a tour of the Valley of Kings, Anani said his ministry will seek to develop all archaeological sites in Luxor city in the coming period.
During his tour, the minister was accompained by Luxor Governor Mohamed Badr and French Ambassador in Cairo André Parant.
Luxor's National Day is celebrated on the 4th of November to commemorate the discovery of the tomb of Tutankhamun by Howard Carter's excavation group in 1922.
