Beijing- Arabstoday

Hong Kong-based Metrojet has become a Wyvern Wingman. The Wyvern programme’s safety criterion was developed over 20 years ago in cooperation with The Wyvern Customer Advisory Board. To earn the qualification of Wyvern Wingman, flight operators need to undergo an on-site safety audit and meet the rigorous safety standards. Metrojet developed its own Safety Management System (SMS) and become the first business aviation organization gaining SMS certification in Asia in 2009. Metrojet has also met the stringent “airline” standards required of a commercial air operator, and has been certified as complying with the standards and best practices set out by the International Business Aviation Council (IBAC) – namely, International Standards of Business Aircraft Operations (ISBAO). In addition, Metrojet conducted Asia Pacific’s first business jet accident Emergency Response Exercise with the Hong Kong Airport Authority in September 2010. “Becoming a Wyvern Wingman close on the heels of receiving the Flight Safety Business Aviation Meritorious Service Award earlier this year is not just a key milestone for us, but a testament of the highest safety standards that Metrojet follows. It is indeed an honor to receive this globally-recognized seal of aviation safety excellence and one that we are proud of. We believe that safety is a guiding principle for our team and Metrojet’s business and we will continue to strive to maintain and elevate the highest safety standards in the business aviation industry,” said Bj?rn N?f, CEO of Metrojet Ltd.
