The tourist sector in Moroccan city of Agadir has witnessed a notable progress in June, according to a report issued by the Public Authority of Tourism. The number of tourists who visited the city increased by 8.26 percent, while tourist visiting for night tours increased by 12.59 percent. The report added that tourists from Russia, Britain, France and Saudi Arabia recorded the highest percentage of visitors, while German tourists recorded a notable decline in this regard. Agadir is a major city in southwest Morocco, the capital of Agadir-Ida Ou Tanane province and of the Souss-Massa-Drâa economic region. The city is located on the shore of the Atlantic Ocean, near the foot of the Atlas Mountains, just north of the point where the Sous River flows into the ocean.
