Myanmar will hold an international tourism conference next year. The Feb.26-28 event is aimed at promoting the country’s tourism industry. The conference, jointly organised by Myanmar Tourism Federation and Sphere Conferences of Singapore, will focus on investment opportunities, Xinhua reported. Chua Wee Phong, chairman of Sphere Conferences, said foreign investors are interested in Myanmar’s tourism industry. According to the tourism ministry, the number of tourist arrivals in the country reached 800,000 in 2011, up by 3 per cent compared to 790,000 in the previous year. From gulftoday
