The Philippine government clarified Tuesday that it has no plan to stamp travel restriction annotation against Libya on the Philippine passports.
In a statement, the Philippine Department of Foreign Affairs ( DFA) said it was pure rumor that the words "Not Valid for Travel to Libya" were being stamped on the Philippine travel document.
Nonetheless, the DFA said the Philippine government still maintains its Crisis Alert Level 4 over Libya.
Level 4 calls for mandatory repatriation of Filipinos in the war-torn North African country.
Of the estimated 13,000 Filipinos in Libya, some 2,700 have already been repatriated.
