Moroccan flag carrier, Royal Air Maroc (RAM) has reinforced its service for American, European and African destinations from Beirut and Casablanca, according to Khalid Dzairy, the regional representative of the RAM in Lebanon.
The cities that will benefit from RAM’s reinforcement service are New York, Washington, Sao Paolo, Rio de Janeiro, Paris, Madrid and Lisbon, said Dzairy, who added that the traffic will also be increased towards these destinations.
“The Moroccan company has decided to ensure travel at very attractive prices,” said Dzairy.
Dzairy said that RAM has reduced the duration of flights to these cities, noting that the airline currently makes the 30-hour Beirut-New York flight in 18 hours.
The duration of the call at Casablanca’s Mohammed V International Airport was also reduced, he continued. The African continent where many Lebanese are based will also benefit from this new service.
RAM, which was ranked by Airhelp as 2016’s best airline in Africa and the 40th in the world, seeking to reinforce its services from Beirut, one month after the opening new office of the company in Beirut in August, has carried out a promotional campaign to promote Moroccan-Lebanese travel.
This has not been the first time that RAM has reinforced its services to America and Latin America. In May 2016, it launched a new air route linking Rio de Janeiro to Casablanca, adding a third weekly air flight between Morocco and Brazil.
The new flights follows RAM’s aim to reinforce its presence since the re-launch of its operations in Brazil in 2013.
