The timing of Dubai Metro and buses has been extended by 30 minutes or an hour on different days throughout the Holy Month of Ramadan. The changes affect customer service centres, car parks, public buses, Dubai Metro, marine transit modes, driving schools and vehicle testing and registration centres. The main stations of inter-city buses such as Al Ghubaiba and Sharjah will work 24 hours a day, in the current changes, a number of services will be available up to midnight in all the main stations of public buses and substations of inter-city buses. Director of Customer Service at the Roads and Transport Authority Corporate Administrative Support Services Sector, Ahmed Hassan Mahboob announced the new changes made to the working hours: Customer service centres, Umm Al Ramoul, Al Barsha and Deira, from 8am-2pm, Al Safa Centre from 8am to 5:30pm, Al Karama Centre from 9am to 2pm, Al Tawar Centre from 9am to 5.30pm, and Al Awir Centre will have two working sessions: from 9am to 2pm and from 8pm to 11:30pm. The timing of paid parking zones during the evening time of Ramadan will be changed and the new parking timing will be from 8am to 1pm and from 7am to midnight. The Fish Market paid parking timing will be from 8am to 1pm and from 4pm to 11pm. “The timing of subsidiary stations, such as Al Qusais, Al Qouz Industrial and Hor Al Anz will be from 6am to midnight throughout week days. The Inter-city bus timing will be as follows: Main stations such as Al Ghubaiba and Sharjah: 24 hours a day, subsidiary stations such as Al Sabkha, Karama, Fujairah and Ajman from 6am to midnight, and Abu Dhabi from 6am to 11:30pm.” The timing of stations offering feeder bus service to the Metro such as Ibn Battuta and Union Square will be from 6am up to 1am. “The Dubai Metro timing will be from 05:50am up to midnight from Saturday to Wednesday, from 5:50am up to 1am on Thursday, and from 1pm to 1am on Friday. These timings will be applicable at all Metro stations.” The working hours of vehicle testing and registration centres during Ramadan from Saturday to Thursday will be from 8am up to 3pm, and from 9pm to midnight at all service-provider outlets.
