Starwood Hotels & Resorts has launched its high-tech Aloft brand in India’s Silicon Valley.
The new Aloft Bengaluru Cessna Business Park is located in the 42-hectare Prestige Cessna Business Park, which houses many IT companies. The hotel offers 191 rooms and suites, all of which feature free Wi-Fi and a “plug-and-play” connectivity solution that links most electronic devices to the 42-inch LED TVs.
“As Aloft continues its incredible global growth, with its emphasis on design, combined with tech-savvy features and vibrant social atmosphere, the brand is attracting a rapidly growing group of loyal travellers around the world,” said Brian McGuinness, Starwood’s senior vice president of specialty select brands.
“Pioneering initiatives in music, design and technology have positioned Aloft as the must-have brand for the next generation of travellers, and we’re quickly gaining traction in the Indian market amongst the country’s young and tech driven society.”
Facilities at the new hotel include a bar and lounge with pool table and live music, a modern fitness centre and swimming pool. In terms of F&B, there is also a cafe-style restaurant and 24-hour “grab-and-go” outlet. The hotel offers 934m² of meeting space, including a 411m² banqueting hall and seven other meeting rooms.
“Aloft Bengaluru Cessna Business Park is a significant addition to the brand’s portfolio in India and will energise the hotel market by meeting the pent-up demand for stylish, lifestyle hotel brands,” said Dilip Puri, Starwood’s managing director for India. “This new generation Aloft Hotel underscores the strength of Starwood’s network and the power of the Aloft brand.”
Starwood now operates seven Aloft hotels in India, and has plans for a further two, in Goa and Delhi.
