Transport Minister Ghazwan Kheir Bek inspected work at Qamishli International Airport, in addition to the airline office in Qamishli in Nasibin border crossing point.
During the vest, Kheir Bek said the ministry will organize extra flights to and from Qamishli Airport if the need arises.
The Minister also held a meeting with officials at the province, during which he said that the Ministry welcomes any private airlines that wish to operate, particularly in Hasaka province where the demand for aerial transportation exceeds the capacity that Syrianair can provide.
Hasaka Governor Mohammad Za’al al-Ali said that the province is facing difficulties due to the roads that are blocked by armed terrorist organizations that pressure locals and target them, prompting people to leave to other provinces by air.
