A report issued by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's Tourism Information and Research Center 'MAS', an affiliate of the Saudi Commission for Tourism and Antiquities (SCTA) revealed that the total number of incoming tourist flights to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia during the first quarter of this year (2012) was 2.9 million trips during which tourists spent around SR 7.1 billion. The report disclosed that domestic flights during the first quarter totaled about 5 million trips during which SR 7.4 billion were spent. The total number of flights departing from the Kingdom was about 4.5 million trips during which tourists spent about SR 17 billion, according to the official Saudi News Agency. (IY)
