Hajj season
Cairo - MENA

Travel agencies that broke the rules governing the 2015 Hajj season were banned from organizing religious tourist journeys for three months, according to a report from the tourism minister.

Prime Minister Sherif Ismail received on Tuesday a report from Tourism Minister Hisham Zazou on the punitive measures taken against travel agencies that breached the Hajj season rules.

Such agencies have arranged Hajj journeys without notifying the ministry, thus violating the set regulations.

The action was taken within the framework of the ministry's follow-up of the repercussions of the Mina stampede that left behind around 2,000 casualties.
