Jerba - Arab Today

The "Super Mamie France 2017", a French contest to honour outstanding grandmothers, is being held in Jerba, an island in the south east of Tunisia.
The competition aims to honour and reward exceptional grandmothers who are extremely dynamic and distinguished by their investment in volunteerism and humanitarian actions, Tunis Afrique Press, the Tunisian news agency, reported..
More than 150 guests and relatives accompanying and encouraging the French “Super Mamies” are attending the ceremony to crown the winner of this contest, in its eighth edition.
René Trabelsi, head of a travel agency, told the news agency that the event was an opportunity to boost tourism activity in Jerba and revive the French tourism market.
