Abu Dhabi - Arabstoday

The UAE, represented by the General Civil Aviation Authority, or GCAA, has signed an air services agreement, or ASA, with the Government of Algeria, as well as a memorandum of understanding for updating the ASA inked in Abu Dhabi on February 4, 1992. It was signed by GCAA director-general Saif Mohammed Al Suwaidi and Algerian Directorate of Civil Aviation and Meteorology, Ministry of Transport director-general Masoud bin Shamam. The ASA allows full flexibility on the routes, capacity, number of frequencies and types of aircraft, in any type of service (passenger or cargo) including the exercise of third and fourth freedoms of traffic rights. Al Suwaidi stressed the importance of open-sky agreements, which would contribute to boosting the trade, tourism and investment between the UAE and Algeria. From khaleejtimes
