Migrants
Washington - MENA

More than 250 million people live outside their countries of birth, a report by the World Bank says.

Over 750 million migrate within their countries, the report said Saturday.

In the coming decades, demographic forces, globalization and climate change will increase migration pressures both within and across borders, it noted.

The report also said that remittance flows to developing countries are estimated to have totaled $441 billion in 2015. Global remittance flows, including those to high-income countries, were an estimated $600 billion in 2015.
