Xi'an, one of China's oldest and most historical cities, capital of west China's Shaanxi Province, received more than 100 million visitors in 2013, said local tourist bureau on Friday. The number of visitors both domestic and overseas hit 101.3 million in 2013, up 27 percent. Income from tourism topped 81 billion yuan (12.8 billion U.S. dollars), up 24 percent. International tourists continued to rise in 2013, with the United States the biggest overseas source, up almost 8 percent last year, according to the tourist bureau. "Xi'an has more than 3,000 years of history and world renowned attractions including the Terracotta Warriors and Horses. It is a popular destination," said Zhang Yongke, head of the city's touristbureau. Tourism is one of the five industrial pillars of the city.
