Explosions targeting a Shiite mosque and three Husseiniyahs (Shia worship place) killed eight people and injured 80 others in the north of Baghdad, in Kirkuk governate on Friday. A police source said to Arabstoday bombs and a car bomb targeted
three Husseiniyahs and a mosque. Thirteen people were injured when a doubled explosion occurred near Khazaal al-Tamimi Husseinyah in Atlas street in central Kirkuk.
Eleven people were injured when a bomb near Imam Ali Husseinyah in north of Kirkuk.
Two people died and four were injured in the explosion in Al-Mostafa Husseiniyah in Ras Dumez, South Kirkuk.
A car bomb wounded 3 people near Al Ahmadi mosque in Dumez, South Kirkuk.
Kirkuk governorate , 250 km north of Baghdad , is a sensitive area that witnesses continuous violent clashes, targeting civilians and security services. The area is known for its very high murder rate, most the time because of personal disputes.
