Tripoli - Imad Ajaj

Head of NTC, Mustafa Abdul Jalil and  Al-Gaddafi’s  regime spokesman, Ibrahim Musa Head of National Transitional Council, Mustafa Abdul Jalil has arrived to the Capital Tripoli, in his second visit since the rebels’ invasion of Tripoli. Close sources to Abdul Jalil, refused to be named, said that that the visit comes after his participation in the meetings of the General Assembly of the United Nations in New York City, where it aims to discuss with the political parties and forces, the interim government, which will be established by Head of Executive Board of the National Transitional Council,Mahmoud Jibril.
The head of the rebels’ council in Tripoli, Abdullah Alzantani, will meet with Abdul Jalil in Tripoli to discuss current developments in the capital.
Abdul Jalil, has denied the disputes between the rebels and the army and said the army has engaged in the battles since the beginning, pointing out that there are battalions of rebels led by army officers
Abdul Jalil said that the country was exposed to a real crisis and that Libya must recover from this crisis as soon as possible, pointing out that the Gaddafi regime still controls some areas and tribal entities.
He also confirmed that the fights in Sirte are by Al-Gaddafi troops not by the local people, adding that Gaddafi loyalists took off their uniforms and wore civilian clothes. He also spoke about the existence of an important figure in Sirte who organizes these massive forces.
Abdul Jalil, has also denied the existence of any dispute between the rebels in the east, and the ones in the west, stressing that the they both have one goal, which is liberating Libya from Gaddafi’s regime.
In response to a question about the forces refuse to join the Army as well as the forces that want to form their own army parallel to the current one, he said:  "We have not reached  to this stage , after liberation , we will be able to accommodate those revolutionaries who fought fiercely for the sake of Libya."
He also said that he hopes they will be able to capture Gaffafi alive, so he can be charged for all his crimes against the Libyan people in front of the whole world. He said that Al-Gaddafi is hiding on the borders between Niger and Algeria.
Regarding the African Union recognition of the Libyan Transitional Council, and the Libyan investments in Africa, he said:"We discussed this matter with the President of Tanzania, Burkina Faso and Mali, and we have the data ready, stressing the need to renew those investments because of the excellent relations Libya has with Africans.
He also believes that it’s not the right time to sign oil contracts and work on economic issues, because these issues should be left to the elected government, describing this period as a stage of crisis management and construction.

On the field, a local council member told ‘Arabstoday’ that the commander of the rebels on the northern front of Bani Walid, Daw  Alsaleheen Aljadak, was killed. After his car was hit by a head missile in the centre of the city.
Burgan said during a telephone conversation, that two of his nephews, and five others  from the rebels were killed, many others were wounded.
He added that Aljadak was killed while he was in his way to the battle field in the centre of the city. Aljadak was one of the most prominent leaders of the rebels, and has been fighting  for the past two weeks to liberate Bani Walid.
The commander of the Transitional National Assembly forces in Sirte, Ahmed Almghebre told “Arabs of today” that more than 10 rebels were killed during the fighting in the city of Sirte.
Almghebre also said that more than ten of the fighters were killed on Tuesday in fighting in the east of the city.
He explained that the loss amongst the rebels was significant because a lot of  fighters were walking to the city, where many of them do not really  know the city well,  and have been under heavy fire from forces Gaddafi.
He also added that battles took place Tuesday on the port of Sirte, which was taken over by rebels during the night.
Another military commander, who preferred not to be named, said that there are talks taking place with a sheikh of Al-Gaddafi’s tribe to reach a truce, however another commander opposing Gadafi refused to negotiate with Gaddafi’s loyalists.
Thami Ziani, Al-Faroukh brigade commander, said that a Shaikh, who didn’t mention his name called him on his phone, and asked for a truce.
Ziani said that he requested him to provide him with an escape root for Gaddafi’s family members , which can safely get them out of the country.
Zayani said that he agreed on letting the families from Gaddafi tribe to leave, and he is still negotiating to reach an agreement to force Al-Gaddafi troops to hand over their weapons and leave the city.
on the other hand, Ahmed Altarhoni, rebels commander said on Wednesday the rebels have arrested Ibrahim Musa, the  spokesman of Al-Gaddafi’s  regime.
He added that Ibrahim was transferred to the city of Misurata immediately after his arrest late last night.
