where one officer died and three members of the military were wounded according to local security sources.
The sources mentioned the Libyan young man was arrested while taking photographs and videos in sensitive locations like the police headquarters at the al-Wadi state wjich is also southeast of the Algerian capital.
Security bodies are investigating the Libyan suspect to find out all the details of the suicide operation which targeted the special force headquarters in Warqa state.
The Algerian army said it killed a member of the al-Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb (AQIM) on Thursday and seized a machine gun and ammunition from his possession at one of the roads of Mount Sidi Ali Bounab in Tizi Ouzou state following clashes between militants and army affiliated special unit members while the rest of the militant group was able to escape.
The army also mentioned dismantling traditionally made bombs in the village of Boughani while the counter terrorism squad arrested two persons alleged to be active in a cell providing logistic support to extremists in the Azeffoun region whose members were not yet found. The tribal area remains a stronghold for the militant organisation lead by al-Qaeda leader Abdelmalek Droukdel despite Algerian army intervention which has disabled much of the movement and activity of the militant organisation.
