Arab Coalition launched raids against the strongholds of Houthi militias in the Northern area of Mokha, as it destroyed Hais bridge linking between Hadida governorate and Taiz to cut the roads of supplies provided to the insurgents from Hadida.
Yemeni city of Mokha witnessed increasing clashes between the governmental troops loyal to the legitimate government on one hand and Houthi militias and forces loyal to former President Ali Abdullah Saleh on the other hand. However, the Arab Coalition intensively targeted the sites controlled by Khaled Bin Al Waleed army in the city.
Yemeni activist Rashad Al Mehowari revealed that the Yemeni troops managed to achieve notable advance in the eastern side of Mokha, as it managed to Nar Mountain. He added that such progress will pave the way for advancing to the camps of extremist Khaled Bin Al Waleed camp.
He added that the Houthi loss of Nar Mountain is considered a major strategic defeat, stressing that the clashes led to the killing and injury of a large number of fighters, including officers of the Yemeni army.
He clarified that clashes continue between the governmental troops and insurgents in Yakhtel, ten kilometres away from Mokha, in the framework of the military efforts exerted by the governmental troops to control the coastal city which enjoys major strategic importance. He added that the Yemeni army received military support and equipment to remove the land mines planted by the militants in preparation for the coming battle against Khaled Bin Al Waleed army.
In the same context, Houthi militias launched a missile attack on a site in Mokha where Yemeni military leaders were existed leading to the killing of a number of them.
Yemeni President Abd Rabbu Mansour Hadi, on his hand, revealed that Saudi Arabia provides $ 10-billion financial support for the Yemeni government, saying that this amount will be allocated to rebuilding the liberated areas of the country.
The announcement came during the meeting headed by the Yemeni President in Aden with a number of officials, including the prime minister and governors. He called for giving the priority to resolve the challenges facing the Yemeni citizens related to the electricity, water, health and education.
