Yemeni city of Mokha witnessed clashes between the governmental troops supported by the Arab Coalition on one hand and Houthi militias and forces loyal to former President Ali Abdullah Saleh on the other hand. The Arab Coalition bombarded military sites controlled by the militants in Zahari district separating between Mokha and Khokha. The bombardment coincided with escalating clashes in Yakhtel of which the Yemeni troops controlled large swaths.
According to military source, the Yemeni army launched attacks on Houthi sites in the eastern side of Mokha in the framework of their attempt to control Nar Mountain and the city's crossroad, as the Arab Coalition targeted the road linking between the cities of Mokha and Taiz. The coalition's fighter jets also launched raids on Khaled Bin Al Waleed Camp in Mozea directorate.
On the southern area of Taiz, the Yemeni governmental troops countered a Houthi attack targeting the sites controlled by the Yemeni legitimate government. Houthi leader Ahmed Al Zabahani revealed that the militants received military support saying that they managed to control a health center in the area amid reports over deterioration in the health situation witnessed in many areas in the country.
The Arab Coalition bombarded a truck carrying weapons at Ahem area on its way to The militants existed in the fronts of Medi and Herd. The reports did not give any details over the materials or humanitarian losses. Houthi military leader Yahia Al Aryani was killed during the battle witnessed in Taiz on late Tuesday. Local sources revealed that the militants leader wad killed with five other militant in the framework of the raids launched by the Arab Coalition to target the city.
The foghter jets also targeted a number of Houthi leaders in Raboa front during their existence inside a building. Sources revealed that the leader was existed with four members of Republican Guards loyal to former President Ali Abdullah Saleh.
Unidentified armed people assassinated Houthi leader Ali Moussa Al Motwakel during his existence in the street in Zamar city. Statistics revealed that the Houthis destroyed six housing buildings of over 113 families. They also destroyed a number of schools while stole over ten cars.
On the humanitarian side, UN Human Rights Commission accuses the Houthis of recruiting a large number of children to fight against the governmental troops in the country. It added that they do not have specific numbers as the most of families do not reveal the use of their children in the fight to avoid any potential retaliatory actions against them.
According to the U.N. report, the Houthis recruited over 1476 children during the period between March 2015 and January 2017.
