Carring away injured during clashes with Israeli soldiers
Israeli occupation forces intensified their bombardment of the Gaza Strip in the early hours of Monday. On Sunday, 33 people died, including 11 members of the same family. The new casualties raise the death toll of the Israeli operation Pillar of Defence to 79. More than
700 people have been injured so far.
In two separate air raids on the southern city of Rafah, two men and an elderly woman were killed in the early hours of Monday.
Eyewitnesses reported that Israeli aircraft fired missiles at a residence belonging to Mahmoud al-Hashash in Rafah, killing one and injuring three others.
The second air raid on Rafah targeted a civilian vehicle near al-Abadla station in the north of the city, killing 2 and seriously injuring another. Aircraft also struck a naval police site run by the Hamas in the east of Beit Lahia. No one was injured in the attack.
Other air raids targeted security centres, including the Abbas police station in downtown Gaza City as the Ministry of Interior headquarters in Tel al-Hawa was bombed for the second time.
Israeli navy vessels fired missiles at the Gaza City coast, killing two men.
A man was critically injured when he was targeted by an airstrike near al-Shuhadaa Square in the Shati refugee camp, east of Gaza.
Airstrikes resumed against Yarmouk and al-Khayala in the west of Gaza as well as the northern al-Qassam Brigades site behind al-Sheikh Zayed Towers, damaging residences. Areas of al-Zeitoun and al-Shejaeia were also struck.
A child was killed on Sunday night and a man was wounded when Israeli reconnaissance aircraft bombed a family’s flat near Dawar Abu Sharkh.
Eyewitnesses reported that an Israeli fighter plane fired at least one missile at the residence of Mahmoud al-Hashash in the al-Hashashin district in the north-west of Rafah; the building collapsed. One woman was found dead when she was pulled out of the rubble. Other members of the same family were wounded.
Occupation forces also struck the residence of the Abu Shehada family in the east of al-Maghazi, injuring members of the same family.
Three people were also killed and another seriously wounded on Sunday evening in an Israeli aerial strike against targets in Rafah.
Eyewitnesses and medical sources reported that an Israeli jet fired a missile at a vehicle travelling near al-Abadla fuel station, killing three people and seriously injuring another.
Israeli reconnaissance aircraft also bombed the residence of al-Qassam leader Rafie Salama in Khan Yunis.
Two more people were killed after Israeli reconnaissance aircraft targeted them near Dawar al-Maleya in Tel al-Hawa.
An elderly woman was injured in a raid on al-Mansoura St. in al-Shejaeia.
A hospital was damaged in Hegazi.
An open area near al-Karama hospital was also bombed, causing damage to private-owned property as well as the hospital.
A man was also killed Sunday evening after an F-16 fired a missile near the al-Safina building in the west of Gaza City. He remains unidentified.
F-16s also bombarded the residence of al-Qassam leader Nafed Subaih in the al-Daraj district in Gaza City. Eyewitnesses reported that reconnaissance fighters fired two missiles at Subaih’s residence, after which F-16s fired another four missiles, destroying it completely.
A raid on a residence in al-Nusairat refugee camp located in central Gaza resulted in the death of two people, one of them was an imam.
Eleven Palestinian civilians, including four children, were killed recently when an Israeli F-16 targeted the home of the al-Dalu family on Sunday afternoon.
