Protests are planned to continue with renewed vigour
Beirut - Georges Chahine

Protests are planned to continue with renewed vigour The families of the abducted pilgrims held in Syria's Aazaz since May last year, vowed to escalate their endeavors staging another sit-in on Thursday to demand the release of the nine men. The sit-in, which was held in downtown Beirut, called on the Lebanese people to boycott all Turkish products in Lebanon.
“We will obstruct the work of Turkish airlines and won't allow the employees to enter the building,” Ibrahim Awad said. Awad was released in September by the abductors.
Protesters also blocked the entrance to the Turkish Cultural Centre, which is adjacent to the Turkish Airlines offices, preventing employees from entering.
Sources said that the protesters would continue to prevent work at the company's offices and will continue the sit-in at the fish market to prevent Turkish produce being sold at the Lebanese market.
One of the protesters told Arabstoday, that a team of protesters is watching institutions that operate in the southern suburbs of Beirut, to prevent the entry of Syrian workers as well.
As for their ability to manage more than one site, he said: “we have an unforeseen capacity as long as we have sympathetic allies who support our move,” in an indirect reference to the role of Hezbollah in the process.
