Hamas announced on Thursday that Gaza strip and its ministries are now under the control of the Palestinian national unity government.
In a press statement, the movement's Spokesman Abdul Latif Al Qanua said Hamas will place the Palestinian national interest above any other partisan interest during Cairo discussions, stressing that Hamas will support the Palestinian government.
Al Qanua pointed out that Hamas is committed to all previous agreements with Fatah and is ready to implement them.
The unity government's delegation arrived in Gaza on Monday in a historical visit, the second of its kind since being formed in 2014. The visit comes as part of efforts to end Fatah-Hamas divisions and achieve national reconciliation.
