Clashes continue between the tribes of Atma, west of Zamar, and the Houthis, where Houthis militiants achieved progress in Atma market, while skirmishes in its surrounding are still ongoing. The houthis also blew up two houses in the region, to conitinue in bombing series ofthe political opponents and military personnel houses in a number of Yemeni provinces.
Atma Directorate witnesses violent clashes between the tribes and Houthis since last week, after they establish security points to kidnap civilians from the sons of Atma, after the prominent MP, Sheikh, Abdul Wahab Ma'weda refused the kidnapping of citizens and activists across the pages of social networking, what made them kidnaping the son of the MP.
The tribes of Atma, has clashed with the Houthis a year ago, when the militias imposed the facto authority in the district, which was rejected by the sons of the directorate, who choose to fight Houthis, to impose a later agreement to remove all militias from the city, with the survival of its sons who have chosen to support Houthis militants.
For his part, the Yemeni Colonel , Ahmed Wosabi, said that the people of Atma can not long survive in battles with Houthis, as a result of the siege from all directions, preventing them to reach their food and to rescue the injures, what have a profound and significant impact, noting that the the Houthis have heavy weapons and human forces a great, unlike the tribes that possess medium and light weapons.
Houthis will not break into the city because storming it will cause a great loss to militants, due to the mountainous nature of the city, but the blockade strategy stifles tribes and will put them in an awkward position after days., he added.
Prospects of victory of the resistance in this battle will increase if the warplanes of the Arab coalition enter this battle, either by multiplying the supply of the Houthis military, or to supply the resistance with weapons and food, Wosabi stated.
The Yemeni activist, Hafez Mutair, called the local and international organizations to pump aid to the displaced people Atma sons, who live a difficult humanitarian situation.
