President of the Republic General Michel Aoun and his accompanying delegation have arrived in the Egyptian capital of Cairo for a meeting with Egyptian President, Abdul Fattah Sisi.
The Lebanese President is currently at "Al-Itihadiya" Palace, where he is scheduled to hold bilateral talks with the Egyptian president, to be later followed by wider Lebanese-Egyptian discussions.
It is to note that Egyptian media outlets have shed light on the significance of the Lebanese President's visit to Egypt, especially due to the special nature of Lebanese-Egyptian relations at all levels. The visit has also been deemed an attempt to boost Arab bilateral ties and to open a new historical page of relations among fraternal countries.
