Earlier the sources pointed out that the commander of the Libya Shield battalion, Wissam Ben Hamed was asleep in his car during the minister's arrival, which indicates that he did not know of the news of his arrival. Al-Juweli had arrived in the city Tuesday evening and soon went to the operating room headquarters.
The sources added there was a violation of the truce involving snipers from the rebelling Toubou tribe immediately after the arrival of the defence minister, which resulted in an attack on a Libya Shield battalion media bus located near Kufra's security directorate and is the base of Ahmad Al-Sharif's snipers.
In a phone call with the "Solidarity News Agency" on Tuesday, the official spokesperson for the ministry of defence, Ali Al-Sheikhi, denied the news of the minister's visit to Kufra.
