Tunisian Marine police, in Zarzis, received, on Saturday, a call for help from three Tunisian fishing boats, after an attempt to capture them by Libyan nautical boat. Ten masked and armed men on the boat's board had fired in the air without leaving injuries.
Three Marine Guard groups, in Zarzis, moved quickly, to attack the Libyan boat, but and fled the Libyan boat. The Libyan boat escaped but a sailor was kidnapped, while Guard units succeeded to rescue 13 Tunisians sailors, and negotiations are continuing for the release of the kidnapped sailor.
This is not the first time in which Tunisian sailors are kidnapped and captured, where 17 sailors were detained and released by the kidnappers after wide negotiations with the Tunisian authorities.
