Tripoli - Arab Today

Libya’s Omar Al Mukhtar military operation room destroyed a missile platform related to the extremist militias known as Shura Darna in the Libyan city of Darna, East of Benghazi.

A senior leader of the operation room stressed that the missiles platform has been fully destroyed, stressing that they also destructed a bulldozer before entering Darna Port on Sunday. He praised the role performed by the Libyan air force to liberate the Libyan territories from the extremist groups.

On the other hand, Libya’s Foreign Minister Mohamed Taher Seyala expressed his optimism over the meeting scheduled to be held between Marshal Khalifa Haftar and Chairman of Libya’s Presidential Council Fayez Al Sarraj, describing the meeting as a breakthrough in the current political suspension witnessed in the country.

He stressed that the major dilemma in the Libyan scene is the way to convince the military leadership of working under the political leadership. He stressed that the military institution should work in the framework of the vision adopted by the political leadership.

He stressed that the major priority is to achieve security and stability of Libya, expecting that the Libyan crisis could witness a major breakthrough during the first quarter of 2017.
