The Syrian army air defenses intercepted a number of missiles fired by Zionist warplanes on a number of military sites in Tartous and Hama, according to SANA.
The news agency added that the army air defenses downed a number of the fired missiles and forced the Zionist warplanes to flee.
The Israeli enemy has repeatedly launched air raids on various targets in Syria in support of the terrorist groups which have been fighting the army and civilians since the inception of the Syrian crisis in 2011.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights war monitor said the explosions were heard in the area between Masyaf and Wadi al-Uyoun near Hama city.
According to RT in Arabic, two people were killed in the attack and at least five were wounded.
The Lebanon-based and Hezbollah-affiliated Al Mayadeen news channel also reported the airstrikes, while another report issued later from Syria said that the strikes had been aimed at Iranian targets.
The report comes shortly after Israeli military official claims IOF attacked approximately 200 targets in Syria over the last year-and-a-half.
On Tuesday a senior Israeli official said Israel has carried out more than 200 attacks against Iranian targets in Syria in the last two years. Israeli officials have rarely detailed specific operations.
Israel has carried out scores of military strikes in Syria during the civil war there, against suspected arms transfers and deployments by Iranian forces and their Lebanese Hezbollah allies which are backing Syrian President Bashar al-Assad.
The alleged strike comes days after Syrian state media said loud blasts coming from an airbase early on Sunday were from an explosion at an ammunitions dump caused by an electrical problem, but an official in the regional alliance backing Damascus said they were from Israeli strikes.
