Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored continuation of the violent fighting since yesterday in the afternoon, the 28th of September 2017, between the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities on one hand, and the members of the “Islamic State” organization on the other, in areas extended from the western desert of Deir Ezzor, to the vicinity of Al-Sukhnah city in the eastern desert of Homs.

An explosion was heard in Salamiyah city in the eastern countryside of Hama which is controlled by the regime forces, caused by the fall of a rocket shell on an area in the city, while violent clashes are still taking place between the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities against the members of the “Islamic State” organization in areas in the eastern countryside of Salamiyah city, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights learned that the regime forces managed to re-advance in 2 villages in the eastern countryside of Hama, amid attempts to hold control over them, where members of the organization are carrying out counterattacks on sites of the regime forces in the area, in an attempt to regain control of what they have lost, while the regime forces are trying to end the presence of the organization in Hama province.
