Everyone is waiting for the results of the Saudi Islamic Summit where heads of the Islamic Alliance States participate including the Egyptian president Abdul Fattah al-Sisi after receiving an invitation from Saudi King Salman bin Abdul Aziz.
This summit is searching for mechanism to deal with Iran and stop its practices in the Arab region especially in Syria and Yemen, in an attempt to create tension and religious conflict.
Former Egyptian ambassador to Saudi Arabia Sayed Abu Zaid said that, the purpose of this summit is to support the Islamic Alliance States in their fight against Iran and its Shiite influence in many Arab countries.
Abu Zaid told “Arab Today” that, choosing Saudi Arabia as the first place to visit in Donald Trump first outside tour has many meanings such as, Saudi Arabia is in fact the leader of the Sunni Arab world, and to prove that he is not an enemy to Muslims, and he also went to Israel and the Vatican in an attempt to understand the 3 holy religions.
Former Saudi ambassador mentioned that, the Islamic Alliance will began its work after the Islamic Summit where the mechanisms of this alliance will be chosen in coordination with the United States to face conflicts in the region and in other Islamic states. US National Security Advisor Gen. HR McMaster confirmed that president Trump’s decision to visit Saudi Arabia first coming from his desire to send a peace message to the Islamic world leaders and to gather support to fight terrorism and extremism.
“Washington Post” newspaper on its electronic bulletin on Saturday quoted McMaster saying that, no president had ever visited the holy Jewish, Christian and Islamic Lands in one tour, adding that Trump’s aim is to unify all people of all religions to share a mutual vision of peace, stability and progress, and during his meeting in the Saudi kingdom, Trump will gather partners to fight Daesh and Iran and strengthen the tolerant vision of Islam to eliminate extremist groups.
The Egyptian president Abdul Fattah al-Sisi received an invitation from Saudi King Salman bin Abdul Aziz to attend the Islamic Summit in Riyadh next week, and al-Sisi expressed his gratitude for such warm invitation and agreed to attend.
