Sources revealed that the current clashes between units of the Tunisian army and extremist elements in Samama Mountains are still continued, revealing that the Tunisian troops managed to besiege the extremists during their fight against them for two days.

The source said, in a statement to “Arabs Today”, that the Tunisian troops managed to kill two extremist elements, while injured five other elements. It added that one Tunisian soldier was injured during the operation, as he was shot by a terrorist in his leg.

According to the source, the military unit set up an ambush to besiege the extremist group existed in Samama Mountain, saying that the group was composed of six elements. The operation led to the killing of two elements and injuring others.
