Clashes continue in Mokha town, west of Taiz city, between the government forces, backed by the Arab coalition forces, and Houthis militants and forces loyal to former Yemeni president, Ali Abdullah Saleh. The coalition warplanes bombed sites in the village of Shabarh, in Mokha, and other sites belonging to Khaled Ibn al-Walid camp.
Yemeni forces announced, last week, its liberalization to the port and the city of Mokha, administratively belonging to the province of Taiz, after battles with the Houthis, and forces loyal to them.
Violent clashes occurred between armed forces loyal to the Yemeni government (Popular Resistance) and the Houthi militant group in south Taiz, leaving casualties on both sides.
Sources revealed that the governmental troops managed to liberate a number of sites controlled by the militias in the western side of Taiz after clashes with Houthis, as the military forces launched attack against Ansar Allah Houthi militias and Saleh’s forces at Mqubnp Front.
The sources added that the governmental troops clash currently with Houthis in the line linking between Mokha and Khokha in the western side of Taiz.
In January, about 142 people were killed, and 477 others injured, including women and children, as a result of indiscriminate shelling armed forces loyal to the Yemeni governmen and the Houthi militant group, in Taiz.
