Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, received yesterday at Qasr al Bahr members of the UAE national team which won the 7th World Pro Jiu-Jitsu Championships 2015 held in Abu Dhabi recently. They were accompanied by Abdulmunem Al Hashmi, Chairman of the Board of the UAE Jiu Jitsu Federation.
During the audience attended by H.H. Sheikh Nahyan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Sports Council, Sheikh Mohamed welcomed the team members and congratulated them on their performance during the championship.
Sheikh Mohamed praised the skills of the UAE team members which led them to top the championship's tally. He added that he was particularly impressed with the enthusiasm and determination demonstrated by the UAE junior and senior champions.
He told them: "We are extremely delighted by your achievements and we look forward to seeing you achieving more success in future competitions."
Sheikh Mohamed also thanked the sponsors of the championship who played a pivotal role in its success.
The UAE team clinched 376 medals in the junior category and 41 medals in the professional category.
Also in attendance were Dr. Amal Al Qubaisi, Director General of Abu Dhabi Education Council and a number of officials.
