Abu Dhabi Tourism and Culture Authority, TCA Abu Dhabi, has announced that registration is now open for all publishers interested in participating in the seventh edition of the 'Al Ain Reads 2015 Book Show', set to be held at Al Ain Convention Centre from 4th – 11th October.

Following requests from both publishers and visitors, Al Ain Reads is set to be extended to eight days following the remarkable turnout for last year's sixth edition.

"The Al Ain audience continues to demonstrate heightened interest in Al Ain Reads, with more than 31,000 people from across the city visiting the book show in 2014, including school and university students. This encouraged us to extend its duration, especially given that Al Ain Reads 2015 will feature an enhanced programme to attract literary and cultural enthusiasts," said Juma Al Qubaisi, Executive Director of the National Library division at TCA Abu Dhabi, organisers of the annual book fair.

Also making a return for the 2015 show is an extensive cultural programme highlighting the literary production of Emirati writers, offering them the chance to meet their readers and discuss a wide variety of literary and creative topics.

More than 67 local publishers participated in Al Ain Reads 2014, displaying more than 55,000 Arabic and English literary and scientific titles. A group of Emirati writers took part in a series of seminars and discussion sessions throughout the duration of the show, while the ‘Creativity Corner' was a major attraction for children who, along with their parents, enjoyed a unique experience in the world of books, reading and creativity.
