The UAE Hot Air Balloon team took part in the 30th International Hot Air Balloon Festival 2014, from August 6th-10th, in Naleczow, Poland, as part of the team's World Hot Air Balloon Tour.
The event has attracted participants from France, Croatia and Lithuania. The U.A.E. team, led by Captain Abdul Aziz Nasser Al Mansouri, Head Pilot, flew a balloon carrying the portrait of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, against a number of tough contenders during the first round of the tournament.
Al Mansouri said he was overjoyed by his teams' participation amidst the challenges of heavy rains and volatile weather, which prevented many other teams from completing rounds.
He also commended the support that His Highness General Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the U.A.E. Armed Forces and H.H. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs, have given to the hot air balloon team, who tour the globe and spread the U.A.E.'s message for peace and tolerance.
