Analysts expect continued collapse of Yemeni economy
Aden - Saleh Al-Mansoub

An economist in Sana'a revealed that the resources in Sana'a go to the Houthi supervisors to control them and no one knows anything about them. It is in the universities, communications, taxes and customs, all of which go to the pockets of influential people who become wealthy and own villas, real estate, cars and companies instead of being deposited in the government account.

The economist added that the same behavior is practiced in Aden. People's revenues are collected and go to their favor, collecting points and markets and merchants under several names, most notably supporting the resistance, which benefiting those influential people.

Although Yemen is rich in economic resources, influence and corruption continue to devour them. There has been no improvement in financial resources, and adults struggle with these resources while ordinary people taste bitter food.

"The daily income is very large from Qat taxes going to Aden, huge amounts that go in favor of the new corruption group, while the people are starving." said Fathi Ben-Azraq, a journalist in Aden province.

One of those interested in the Yemeni issue said that if things remained that way, the legitimate government in Aden would not stand long and would not be able to pay salaries in the future because the country without resources would not survive.

Analysts say that in light of the situation in the economic collapse and instability, there are no arrangements for the economy to rise and the influence of the Houthis remains dominant. This threatens the future risk in the Yemeni economy of the collapse of the riyal and of foreign currencies.
