Kuwait - Arab Today

Kuwait Oil Company's CEO Hashim Hashim Kuwait Oil Company (KOC) is seeking to raise its crude output up to 3.15 million barrels per day (bpd) by 2015 through the drilling of around 250-300 oil wells this year, KOC's CEO Hashim Hashim announced Saturday. Hashim made this announcement on the fringes of launching KOC's community beautification campaign in collaboration with Voluntary Work Center, KUNA reported.
Hashim told the press that KOC is working within a pre-planned strategy; a strategy that aspires to produce 4 million bpd by 2020 and remain at that level of production through 2030.
He added that implementation of many giant projects in the foreseeable future would enable the company to achieve this goal.
