The sixth Economic Policy Dialogue between the United Arab Emirates and the United States of America has concluded in the US capital, Washington.
Khalid Ghanem Al Ghaith, Assistant Foreign Minister for Economic Affairs, headed the UAE side, while Charles H. Rivkin, US Assistant Secretary of State for Economic and Business Affairs, headed the US side.
In his speech during the meeting, Al Ghaith said, "The UAE and the United States are linked by outstanding ties of cooperation," pointing out that the "UAE-US Economic Policy Dialogue highlights the state's keenness and interest in promoting and developing these relations in light of the great attention paid by the leadership of the two countries to developing bilateral relations that contribute to achieving common interests." He added that the UAE and the US have a strong, solid economic and trade partnership, as the volume of trade exchange between the two countries amounted to US$26.9 billion in 2013, and the UAE still represents the largest market for US exports of goods and services to the Middle East and North Africa region.
