UAE PM Mohammed bin Rashid al-Maktoum (C)
Dubai - Arab Today

Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, has stressed that the main reason behind the UAE's high government performance was the fact that the state treat its institutions as private, not government, bodies that compete with the private sector, embrace its mind-set and best practices and have their achievements assessed by the criteria of this sector.
In his article in the recent issue of Wamadhat (Flashes) Magazine, a publication of Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation, MBRF, H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid says "We even went further and started to measure customer satisfaction and rate our services centres using the internationally-recognised hotel star rating systems. The experiences proved to be successful where the performance of our institutions improved and we were able to achieve our goals."
The new issue of the magazine also highlights the 2015 edition of Government Summit held in Dubai last month under the theme "Shaping Future Governments."
The magazine highlights the keynote speech of the summit in which His Highness General Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, commended the vision of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and spoke about future governments, the harnessing of resources to serve man, as well as the importance of education and the excellent infrastructure in the UAE.
The magazine also highlights the speech delivered by H.H. Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior, during the summit in which he spoke about positive citizenship which constitutes the foundation of success for future government and cohesion and growth of their peoples.
In another section, the new issue of the magazine highlights plans announced recently by MBRF to bring Nobel Museum's travelling exhibition to Dubai.
